Experiencing issues with Transfer? Refer to this troubleshooting article of common issues related to the Transfer plugin and how you can best address them.
Your server parameters are most likely too low for the process to complete. Our development team recommends these settings at a minimum to prevent these issues :
– post_max_size: 256MB
– upload_max_filesize: 256MB
– memory_limit: 512MB
– max_input_time: 600
– max_execution_time: 600
– max_input_vars: 2000
The timeout should be from max_execution_time in php.ini. If it is not in php.ini, it is most likely set in the server config.
This is likely because you don’t have the right permissions to create a directory on your server. This needs to be addressed on your server/hosting site.
Transfer only migrates media that is embedded inside a LearnDash or LifterLMS course or related to LearnDash/LifterLMS data. Media not associated with these LMS platforms can be migrated by taking the wp-content folder and importing that to your site, utilizing a search & replace plugin, and replacing the URLs.
After importing your export file, you must convert the data from our agnostic table to the LearnDash or LifterLMS platform.
No, you must migrate courses and users at the same time to preserve course progress and other data.
Be sure you are regenerating files by clearing your hosting cache and Elementor cache upon migration.
Delete all empty files and open the exported zip file on your dashboard in a file called “mycourse” for example.
The importing process depends on the power of your server and how much data you’re importing. If you have thousands of lessons it’s going to take a while. But don’t worry it will be complete!
It’s best to use the latest version of Transfer available. We make the previous version available for users who may need to roll back after an upgrade or are testing before performing an update.
You need to add your new site to your Honors WP Dashboard. To do this, go to your Purchase History > View Licenses > Manage Site > add the new site.
Transfer relies on the sfwd-questions custom post type to migrate LearnDash quiz questions. You must be using this custom post type, otherwise, the migration won’t work correctly.
To convert LearnDash quizzes & questions to LifterLMS, you need to have the Advanced Quizzes add-on for LifterLMS installed.
Our user association is being done by User_ID and based on user email. You will want to be sure when exporting, to select Export all authors of related content . You can also fix the association, where the author can enroll in a course and this should re-associate the user and author.
You must go to your WordPress admin settings and select your appropriate timezone.
